Elite athletes confirmed for the European MTB Championships
Melgaço will host the European MTB Championships, in the XCO, XCR, and XCC categories, from July 23rd to 27th.
Some of the world’s best athletes will make Melgaço their new home, and this is an incredible opportunity to see the European champions up close and support the Portuguese National Team.
Here are some of the athletes already confirmed.
Nino Schurter
Nino Schurter, the Swiss rider, 10x World Champion and Olympic medalist in Cross-Country MTB, will be competing at the European MTB Championships, taking place from July 23 to 27.
At 39, Nino holds multiple world, Olympic, and European titles and is more than just a cycling icon, he’s one of the greatest athletes the sport has ever seen!

The 26-year-old British athlete, former XCO World Champion and Two-time Olympic Champion announced his presence at the European MTB Championships – Melgaço, this Sunday after winning the XCO World Cup in Andorra.
