The Melgaço Training Center is a state-of-the-art facility, recognized nationally and internationally as a destination for champions, ready to host high-level athletes, teams, and events. Located in the heart of nature, next to the Peneda-Gerês National Park, it combines modern sports facilities with an inspiring environment where sport, health, and sustainability go hand in hand.
The Official Preparation Center for EURO 2004 and already certified to host training camps for the 2030 World Cup, the Melgaço Training Center has been a training ground for top teams such as the Portuguese National Team, South Korea, Sporting CP, SC Braga, Vitória SC, Real Valladolid, Deportivo da Corunha, and many others. Over the years, it has established itself as the preferred venue for training camps, camps, and training sessions hosted by federations, clubs, and sports organizations worldwide.

This complex is a driving force behind the development of sports, leisure, and tourism in the region and is one of the most modern, best-equipped, and most comprehensive sports complexes. It is divided into two main areas. The first is a leisure area, with a variety of facilities for fitness sports and recreational and cultural activities. The second large area is dedicated to high-level sports. It boasts infrastructure capable of hosting a variety of sports, both competitive and training.
It is in this area that the Internship Center is located, equipped with a set of its own equipment, made available exclusively to clubs undergoing internships.
Among its distinctive features are the indoor semi-Olympic pool, ideal for high-performance swimming training, and the outdoor outdoor pool, which offers a leisure and relaxation area during the warmer months. In addition to competitive sports, the center also develops community-focused exercise projects, promoting the health and well-being of the local population, with group classes, aquatic activities, rehabilitation programs, and personalized plans.
The facilities also include grass soccer fields (natural and synthetic), an athletics track, a multi-sport court, a gymnasium with state-of-the-art equipment, physical recovery areas, training rooms, accommodations with food service, and specialized technical support.
